After making a very Ben Carson-like entrance, Stephen Colbert predicted a New Hampshire primary bloodbath on Monday night's show.

"The presidential race has truly become a flaming toboggan ride toward dead man's curve, otherwise known as New Hampshire primary," he said. "Following Iowa, Marco Rubio wouldn't let us forget that he won by coming in third… that is until Saturday night's GOP debate."

But despite what Colbert coined as the "Rube-mentum," the young senator may have tripped up by sticking too closely to his talking points.

"Thankfully, Chris Christie was there to helpfully curb stomp him in the neck. Boom! Direct hit!" 

Governor Chris Christie knows that you just can't keep repeating the same lines. And so should the man he repeatedly, ad nauseum, calls, "boy in the bubble" Rubio. Oh, wait....
"It's February 8 and apparently both of these guys are still celebrating Groundhog Day," Colbert quipped.
