Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had the perfect response after Fox News' Tucker Carlson called her 'nasty' and a 'moron'

In an absurd and ridiculous tirade in the Monday episode of his nightly show, Fox News' Tucker Carlson lashed out at MSNBC's Chris Hayes and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), following their town hall discussing climate change and the Green New Deal.

Carlson took a bizarre and revealing shot at Hayes, saying he is "what every man would be if feminists ever achieved absolute power in this country: apologetic, bespectacled, and deeply, deeply concerned about global warming and the patriarchal systems that cause it.” As if that were a bad thing!

When he turned his ire on the New York lawmaker, Carlson was even more apoplectic.

“So it’s official," he said. "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a moron and nasty and more self-righteous than any televangelist who ever preached a sermon on cable access. She’s not impressive, she’s awful.”

In response, Ocasio-Cortez just sent a simple tweet brushing off his comments, giving them no more engagement than they're worth:

She has had a lot of experience in the short time since her meteoric rise in dealing with conservative media's faux-populist outrage directed at her. At the town hall with Hayes, she had told the host that she had expected the Fox News pundits and Republican politicians' overblown fulminations about the Green New Deal, adding though, "I didn't expect them to make total fools of themselves."
