When former Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano warned in 2009 that right-wing extremist groups could pose a serious threat to national security she was lambasted by conservatives. Various lobbying groups pushed back against the federal government's efforts to clamp down on right-wing extremism and right-wing media accused the Obama administration of unfair targeting. Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh claimed that "there is not one instance they can cite as evidence where any of these right-wing groups have done anything," and Napolitano was compelled to apologize to veterans' groups after she speculated that veterans would be ripe targets for recruitment.
President Donald Trump is a terrorism-generating machine. In one week, America has been hit by three separate terrorist attacks directly connected to his sowing of division and promotion of violence.
Mass Poisoning and Domestic Military Attacks: Secretive Pentagon Documents Predict Dystopian Dangers in the US
For almost 20 years, U.S. drone warfare was largely one-sided. Unlike Afghans and Yemenis, Iraqis and Somalis, Americans never had to worry about lethal robots hovering overhead and raining down missiles. Until, that is, one appeared in the skies above Florida.
Remember that Muslim mass murderer who belonged to an Islamic home-madrassa called INTIFADA, where knife-wielding Shari’a survivalists studied the Qur’an, guns and dangerous chemicals? And how the liberal media fawningly portrayed him as a misunderstood and under-loved young man otherwise full of promise?
Federal prosecutors recently announced charges against three men from rural central Illinois with bombing a Minnesota mosque and attempting to bomb a women's health clinic, but many Americans didn’t hear about it due to a paucity of media attention, critics suggest. The arrests, which were handed out on Tuesday and related to events that took place…
Over the course of the last 10 years, it is white Christian right-wing domestic terrorists, not Muslims or immigrants, who are responsible for the vast majority of deaths and injuries caused by political violence in the United States.

The Associated Press, via ABC News, reports that attorneys for defendants argued on Friday that it would be wrong to only pick jurors from a pool of urban residents because they could be prejudiced against the defendants for political reasons.
A leaked FBI counterterrorism memo claims that so-called black identity extremists pose a threat to law enforcement. That’s according to Foreign Policy magazine, which obtained the document written by the FBI’s Domestic Terrorism Analysis Unit. The memo was dated August 3, 2017—only days before the deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, where white supremacists, Ku Klux Klan members and neo-Nazis killed one anti-racist protester, Heather Heyer, and injured dozens more. But the report is not concerned with the violent threat of white supremacists. Instead, the memo reads: “The FBI assesses it is very likely Black Identity Extremist perceptions of police brutality against African Americans spurred an increase in premeditated, retaliatory lethal violence against law enforcement and will very likely serve as justification for such violence.” Civil liberties groups have slammed the FBI report, warning the “black identity extremists” designation threatens the rights of protesters with Black Lives Matter and other groups. Many have also compared the memo to the FBI’s covert COINTELPROprogram of the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s, which targeted the civil rights movement. We speak with Malkia Cyril, co-founder and executive director of the Center for Media Justice as well as a Black Lives Matter Bay Area activist.
As I watched the news unfold about the horrible mass shooting in Las Vegas during the late-night hours of Sunday and Monday, I said to myself, "Please God, don't let these killers be black." I doubt I was alone in such sentiments. In a country stuck in the grip of a white backlash and resurgent white supremacy, black and brown folks don't need any further troubles.
