The Mix

Hillary, you have a challenger

Iraq looms -- lightly -- in the NY Senate Democratic primary.
Seve Greenfield, former Green Party member from New York has announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination in New York. Good for him. If he talks about Iraq enough and gets enough dough -- at least 300k -- he stands a chance of getting Mrs. Clinton to be more specific about Iraq than she has in the past 3 14 years or so.

Good. Look what the mere announcement of Greefield's candidacy has done:
Hank Nicols, chairman of Otsego County’s Democratic Party, said Friday that he believes the county committee would be willing to meet Greenfield and consider his candidacy.
"Generally, I would say we are pleased with Hillary Clinton’s performance, but like Americans everywhere, we are so frustrated with our federal government and our aggressive stance in the world and the war on Iraq, and our domestic failures, including lack of health care for 46 million Americans, that we are desperate for change," he said Friday.
