Adult film star, alleged former mistress of Donald Trump, Stormy Daniels, was arrested Thursday in Ohio for touching strip club patrons, CNN reports.

Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti tweeted the arrest seems like “#setup,” arguing the move “reeks of desperation.” He said Daniels will plead not guilty to three misdemeanor charges during her arraignment Friday.

According to CNN, Daniels posted the $6,054 bail for ‘three misdemeanor counts of illegally touching a patron.” She was charged under an Ohio law that makes it illegal for “an employee who regularly appears nude or seminude” to touch non-family members “on the premises of a sexually oriented business.”

In Franklin County Municipal Court records, officers accused Daniels of “fondling the breasts of female patrons.”

She also allegedly grabbed an undercover officer’s face and pressed it between her breasts, CNN reports.

Avenatti wrote Daniels was arrested “whole [sic] performing the same act she has performed across the nation at nearly a hundred strip clubs.”
