Tammy Duckworth slams military handling of sexual assault

“I want the military to be a place where women can succeed and thrive the way I was able to," Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) told CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday. "And the military leadership at this point has shown that they have not been capable of fixing this problem."

Responding to the Pentagon report revealing rampant sexual abuse in the military, Duckworth went on to call for a new system to replace the Uniform Code of Military Justice when investigating sexual assault cases, calling the failures of the current system "an aberration."
