Sarah Palin Says Putin Is Stronger Than 'Mom Jean' Wearing Obama

Sarah Palin bolstered her reputation as a Russia expert on Monday by saying that President Obama looks weaker than Russian President Vladimir Putin in the wake of the political crisis in Ukraine.

“Look, the perception of Obama, of him and his potency across the world is one of such weakness,” Palin told Fox News host Sean Hannity.  “People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil. They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans and equivocates and bloviates.”

She also said that Putin could claim he’s acting in accordance with the law by calling what he’s doing “executive orders.”  The jab was meant to criticize President Obama for using his power to issue orders on a variety of issues--moves that are clearly constitutional.

Russian forces have invaded Crimea and occupied it, a move decried by many as a violation of international law.

In 2008, Palin predicted that Ukraine would be invaded by Russia if Obama became president.  In a recent Facebook post, she wrote: “I’m usually not one to Told-Ya-So, but I did, despite my accurate prediction being derided as ‘an extremely far-fetched scenario’ by the ‘high-brow’ Foreign Policy magazine.”
