President Obama's Memorial Day Address: "Honoring Those Who Made the Ultimate Sacrifice"

Obama's weekly address was, of course, about Memorial Day, and honoring the troops who "sacrificed everything so that we could be free." It was sentimental, of course, but it's a nice thing to hear for those of us who have family members in the military, even though, as he put it, words and ceremonies can't bring back lost lives. It's also doubly resonant given the president's efforts to cease the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Fittingly, he notes that it's the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. His op-ed on that, for Military Times, is here.
