Rush Roundup: AlterNet's Adele Stan Takes on Limbaugh's "Pornographic Assault"--While Missouri Installs His Bust In the Capitol?

Limbaugh vs. the world keeps dominating the headlines. So here's your daily Rush roundup, including AlterNet vs. Rush, Missouri honoring him with a marble bust, more advertisers leaving and Rush saying "what's up with all these overeducated white women?"

--Last night our own Adele Stan went on Thom Hartmann's show to talk Rush Limbaugh, and debunk his lies about how birth control works--and how insurance for birth control works. At the beginning, Hartmann does a great job reminding us that Rush has a history of sexist and racist comments. Stay tuned about halfway through for Stan's dissing of Limbaugh and subsequent "apology." It's brilliant.

--Meanwhile, in Missouri,

House Speaker Steve Tilley, R-Perryville, intends to honor Limbaugh with a place in the Hall of Famous Missourians, a ring of busts in the Capitol rotunda recognizing prominent Missourians.

... Although the statues are commissioned with private funds, Democrats are already expressing anger at the decision to enshrine Limbaugh next to luminaries of science, culture and politics who have called Missouri home.

... "It's not the Hall of Universally Loved Missourians," Tilley said. "It's the Hall of Famous Missourians."

Even the guy honoring him admits how polarizing Rush can be. So that's a start, right?

--The madness continues as we speak on Limbaugh's show. As Stan noted in her appearance last night, Rush has a real thing about smart, credentialed ladies. Today, he made that quite explicit, asking, "what is with all those young, single, white women, overeducated? ThinkProgress  captured the audio:

--Advertisers, numbering up to 20, are continuing to leave Limbaugh's show, while activists are targeting ClearChannel and local stations that carry it.
