OWS Roundup: Videos from Occupy Homes and 99% in DC, Congressman Wants NYPD Conduct Investigated, More

--Words cannot express how moving this new film about the Occupy Our Homes Action in East New York is. It sums up so much about why eviction resistance and home reoccupation is a wonderful new phase for OWS.

--My awesome congressman is taking action on behalf of OWS, penning a letter to AG Eric Holder:

New York Democrat Jerrold Nadler says in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder there were "troubling reports" of possible misconduct by police.

He says there were reports of "possible unlawful surveillance" of protesters' constitutionally protected activities and excessive use of force by New York Police Department officers. He says he was "especially troubled" the NYPD "aggressively blocked journalists" from reporting the Nov. 15 eviction of protesters from a Manhattan park they were occupying.

--The 99% are in DC for the second day in a row, holding GAs and lobbying for the working class. Here's a video of Chicagoans trying to get a meeting with their elected officials, and everything that ensues.

--Time magazine has chosen OWS as its biggest story of 2011, with this to say about the story: "But the sheer persistence of the occupations, galvanized by incidents of heavy-handed policing in New York and California that shocked the nation, have given the protesters' appeals for economic justice a weight that may play a real role in the upcoming presidential election."

--Would Eleanor Roosevelt Support Occupy Wall Street? (answer: yes): "Eleanor urged her readers to take political action to address their concerns."

--At Al-Jazeera, emcee Prometheus Brown describes weeks of travelling to different OWS Camps around the country and says "I've become convinced that the 'Occupy' movement is the early rebellion stage of something potentially bigger, and, despite its shortcomings, deserves our attention and, even more, our participation."

-The eviction of Occupy San Francisco.

--I was on The Big Picture With Thom Hartmann last night along with LA organizer Christina Livingston of ACCE, talking Occupy Our Homes.
