Stewart Rips Into Fox News for Its Crusade Against Obama's So-Called "Godless" Turkey-Day Address

Back from the holiday break, Jon Stewart's job was made easy when a number of conservatives, many appearing on Fox News, started getting twisted about Obama supposedly leaving a specific reference to God out of his videotaped Thanksgiving address. First of al, as Stewart noted, the President did mention God in his written address: "he did mention it in Thanksgiving address--just not the one on YouTube."

Plus, Stewart bemoaned the conservatives turning Thanksgiving into a polarizing holiday, complaining "it was the only thing we Reform Jews had left!" and celebrating its secular, non-religious, relaxed natre. "Thanksgiving was a bunch of pagans teaching religious zealous how to farm," he noted, and as a parade of pundits declared their allegiance to Jesus for Thanksgiving he asked, "when did Fox become the 700 Club?"
