Hearings have begun for the confirmation of D.C. Circuit Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, an event that many fear will be a crippling blow to civil rights.

As women gather on Capitol Hill to protest, including activists dressed as handmaids, police have begun to make arrests.

According to Fox News reporter Chad Pergram, "As of 10:19 am., 22 individuals have been arrested. The preliminary charge is D.C. Code § 22-1321 - Disorderly conduct. As the hearing is scheduled to proceed for several hours today, we will provide a final update regarding number of arrests."

One such arrest is reportedly Palestinian-American activist Linda Sarsour.
