Watch Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee Claim Republicans Plan to Fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein This Friday

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) said during a Tuesday congressional hearing that Republicans plan to remove Deputy U.S. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein this Friday.

Lee interrupted Republican Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) during a hearing about the U.S. Department of Justice Inspector General’s report on FBI bias during the 2016 campaign when she dropped the surprising information.

“Is it not appropriate to ask the question as to what is the germaneness of the gentleman’s line of questioning and whether or not we’re dealing with the report or we’re dealing with the Republicans’ attempt to undermine [the Russia investigation] and to fire Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein, which you are planning to do on Friday?” Lee asked.
