Teresa Manning, the anti-choice activist President Donald Trump appointed to handle Title X federal family planning program, was reportedly escorted from the building this afternoon.

According to Politico reporter Dan Dimond, Manning served for a mere nine months.

“HHS is very grateful for her service,” HHS spokesperson told Politico. “Her departure after resignation was not unusual in any way.”

The Washington Post verified that she “abruptly resigned” Friday.

Manning was criticized by women’s groups for once saying that “contraception doesn’t work.” They warned that her anti-science pro-religion agenda would significantly impact national policy. She’s previously worked for the far-right groups Family Research Council and National Right to Life.
