According to a reporter with the Wall Street Journal, President Donald Trump used a White House dinner to criticize Attorney General Jeff Sessions in front of conservative leaders from grassroots organizations.

Rebecca Ballhaus wrote on Twitter that her source, who was in the room, said Trump's words were "dripping with venom."

A photo of the dinner released by the White House shows guests sitting silently as Trump gesticulates.

Ballhaus also writes that Trump bragged to the table about how his ranting against the NFL has "really taken off" in the public discourse. "He was happy—he feels like he’s clearly winning that exchange," her source said.
