NBC Late Night host Seth Meyers implored President Trump to stop the nonsense and apologize to Sgt. La David Johnson's widow, Myeisha Johnson.

Trump has repeatedly disputed an account of his offensive call to Johnson, despite multiple witnesses recounting the same story. Trump went so far as to call one witness, Rep Frederica Wilson (D-FL), "wacky" and indirectly imply on Twitter that Johnson is lying.

“Look, just stop. Stop tweeting, stop responding, do what a normal, decent human being would do: apologize and then be quiet,” Meyers said.

Meyers also criticized Trump for failing to comprehend his own alleged legislative agenda. After playing a clip of the president trying to discuss tax reform on Fox News, Meyers summed up America's feelings: "Oh my god, what are you talking about?”

“He talks like he’s trying to stall a security guard while his friends steal the opposing school’s mascot," Meyers continued.
