President Donald Trump's long-time fixer and attorney Michael Cohen is a target of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, according to a witness who testified before the grand jury and spoke to the Washington Post

The prospect is guaranteed to worry the president, who has been more outwardly hostile to the FBI and federal investigators ever since Cohen's office and residence were searched by agents as a part of another investigation. Cohen is believed to have extensive records on his work and communications with Trump — and if the pair has engaged in criminal activity together, Cohen probably has the evidence.

Former Ukrainian politician Andrii Artemenko told the Post about his testimony to the grand jury. While he would not provide details, he said that many of the questions in his hours-long session focused on Cohen.

As has previously been reported, Artemenko met with Cohen in January 2017 to discuss a peace deal for Ukraine. Mueller is focused, in part, on that meeting, Artemmenko said.

Other reports Wednesday suggested that Cohen's case is getting increasingly desperate as he searches for a new legal team. Vanity Fairreports said he fears he'll be arrested shortly.

Cohen doesn't only have to worry about Mueller's investigation. He is also being investigated by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, which the Post says is investigating him for potential wire fraud, bank fraud, and campaign finance law violations.
