14 People Are Dead, But Hey, Donald Trump Thinks His Poll Numbers Might Get a Boost

Donald Trump retweeted the wisdom that 'his poll numbers jump every time instances like this occur.'

But enough about the 14 people killed and 17 people wounded in Wednesday’s San Bernardino mass shootings. What effect will it have on Donald Trump’s poll numbers? As you might expect, random bozos on Twitter have theories:

But, you say, random bozos on Twitter will always have opinions about everything. What’s it matter? 

Well, Donald Trump—as in, @realDonaldTrump—retweeted the wisdom that “his poll numbers jump every time instances like this occur.” Which is not as much of a surprise about the Republican presidential frontrunner’s priorities as it probably should be. It’s also not necessarily wrong, but “racist responses to tragedy boost my support” is not something to brag about, unless you’re absolutely confident that there’s no such thing as hell, or are happy to be headed there.
