On Last night’s The Daily Show, Samantha Bee paid tribute to MSNBC’s Morning Joe in a hilarious, melodramatic performance, insisting the show is much more than a news program – it’s a family!

Bee depicted the relationship between Morning Joe “Daddy” Scarborough and “Mother” Mika Brzezinski (from an immigrant family, "the high society kind, not the gross kind") as an uncomfortable, sexless, suburban family.

"Please stop fighting! It's my fault," she cried as their helpless daughter. "You guys are going to get divorced, aren't you? Please don't make me go live with Lawrence O'Donnell. He doesn't flush the toilet!"

Bee then poked fun at the cast of “boy pundits” on the show, drawing attention to how the increasing number of male experts always agree with their “dad” Joe, before turning her focus to the co-hosts horde of powerful friends like Michael Bloomberg and Chris Christie, because “if they’re not friends with Joe and Mika, they don’t exist! They’re nothing!

Bee summed up the Morning Joe “family” well in one final jab: “Oh sure, my 'Morning Joe' family may fight and bicker and starf*ck like nobody's business, but when the chips are down for one of our powerful friends, we pull together to attack anyone who questions them," she said. "Because that's what morning news shows do."
