Great show this week.

On the AlterNet Radio Hour this week, we speak with journalist Rich Yeselson, a veteran labor researcher and strategist, about the future for unions after Michigan, home of the mighty United Autoworkers, passed an anti-labor law designed to pare the rolls of union membership. Rich's article for The American Prospect, "This Is Not Wisconsin; It's Worse," can be found here. Follow him on Twitter: @yeselson

Next we get the views of Andrea Plaid, associate editor at Racialicious, on the decision by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice to withdraw her name from consideration for position of Secretary of State, which Hillary Clinton is expected to leave in the new year. Rice has come under brutal rhetorical attack from Senators John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), for reasons, says Plaid, that have nothing to do with the September attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Finally, we talk with Peter Montgomery about the latest anti-gay outburst from Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia -- just days after the Court announced it would hear two cases challenging laws that proscribe or limit same-sex marriage. Peter also enlightens us about a homeschool champion who sought to shut down a queer blog at an evangelical college. Read Peter's take, "Queer Bloggers Make Homeschooler Christian College President Cranky," at Religion Dispatches. Twitter handle: @petemont

And because of the horrific school shooting in Connecticut on Friday, we offer a special comment on mass murder and the cult of the individual.

If you're in Washington, DC, you can tune into the show at 4 pm EST at 1480 AM. If you're anywhere else, you can stream it live at  We Act Radio , and if you miss it, check back later for a podcast.
