Trump once again assured America last night that he could commit murder and his support would remain steadfast. As tragic proof of this point, the candidate went on to obliterate the GOP field at the Nevada caucus, taking 45.9% of the vote. By this point Trump might as well don parachute pants to the sounds of “Can’t Touch This.”

For those who might have missed Trump’s last metaphorical death threat amidst the litany of incomprehensible comments he’s made thus far, in January he noted, “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s like incredible.”

Although this is probably less a reflection of loyalty than stupidity, at last night’s pre-caucus rally, Trump once again repeated the claim. “Sixty-eight percent,” he said, “would not leave under any circumstance. I think that means murder, I think it means anything, okay?”
