Watch: Trump's Completely Inane Defense of Campaign Manager's Assault Charge

The GOP frontrunner continues to defend Corey Lewandowski in the most bizarre ways possible.

During last night’s Republican Town Hall on CNN, the arrest of Corey Lewandowski was a hot topic.

Earlier that day, Lewandowski was arrested and charged with assauting Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields. But Donald Trump continues to defend his campaign manager, refusing to accept that he might not always surround himself with the best people.

“When she found out that there was a security camera, her story completely changed,” he told CNN’s host Anderson Cooper last night. “No,” Anderson Cooper corrected him. “She says her story has remained exactly the same.”

“It’d be so easy for me to ruin this man’s life, ruin his family, ruin his everything. I’ve fired many people,” Trump responded. “And by the way, she was grabbing me. Am I supposed to press charges against her?” Trump asked.

“You suggested you might,” Anderson Cooper reminded the GOP frontrunner. “You tweeted.”

But Trump persisted. “She was off-base. She had a pen in her hand, which Secret Service isn’t liking, because they don’t know what it is… whether it’s a little bomb… people are chopping off heads in the Middle East… they’re drowning people in cages. She shouldn’t have been touching me.”

“We’re living in a scary time when the frontrunner supports his campaign manager abusively touching a female reporter,” confirmed Ana Kasparian, host of The Young Turks.
