Donald Trump Can't Answer How He Became a Conservative

We've been wondering for almost 30 years.

This week on Hannity, Donald Trump was asked a familiar question: "How did you become a conservative?"

Despite his fear-mongering and hateful rhetoric, Trump is overall much less conservative than Republican candidate Ted Cruz, which is largely why Trump was called out last month for having "New York Values."

"Well, I'm a common-sense conservative," Trump says. "I think I've always been very conservative financially. If you look at my company [I have] very little debt and tremendous cash flow. You know I filed my papers and it's a great company."

Watch Trump completely dodge the question:

At least in 1988 he admitted he had no idea.
