Watch: Seth Meyers Calls Out Media for Ignoring Trump's White Supremacist Support

Seth Meyers took a deeper lok at the support presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump enjoys from the community of virulent white supremacists on Wednesday night. That support appears long and deep, and perhaps as Meyers noted, should not be surprising given Trump's origins as a political candidate espousing that President Obama is a "Kenyan Muslim." The segment was also a damning indictment of how the media has underplayed the love Trump gets from truly despicable characters.

The Trump campaign's initial approval of known white supremacist lawyer William Johnson as a California delegate was just par for the course. Johnson, whose name sounds "like one an alien would give himself," Meyers quipped, has written hysterical screeds about how the "white race is dying out because it is afraid to be called racist," and how "we live in a society that hates white people who love white people." So sad. 

The Trump campaign eventually got around to disavowing Johnson, atrributing his temporary delegate status to a "clerical error." Meyers suspected that clerical error might be a common go-to excuse in a Trump administration. "I'm sorry to say that due to a clerical error, we built a wall around New Mexico," Meyers said in his best Trump voice. "Stay strong, Albuquerque."
