US Secret Service agents hired to protect Biden’s granddaughter open fire on 3 suspects

Late Sunday night, November 12, U.S. Secret Service agents opened fire when three suspects, according to the Associated Press, tried to break into a vehicle in Washington, DC's upscale Georgetown neighborhood. The agents were assigned to protect Naomi Biden, President Joe Biden's granddaughter.

In an official statement, the Secret Service said that none of the men were hit by the shots the agents fired.

Fox's LiveNOW reports that the agents "saw the three people breaking a window of the parked and unoccupied SUV," adding that the incident is being investigated by the DC Metropolitan Police Department and the Secret Service."

According to LiveNOW, "At this point, there is still a lot left to figure out. But we do know that Washington has been a significant rise in the number of carjackings and car thefts this year."
