JD Vance
Vice President JD Vance was criticized on the social platform X on Friday after he suggested that the courts blocking the Trump administration's actions are operating in violation of the Constitution.
"We’re seeing a consistent pattern. 1) Biden administration does something the American people elected Donald Trump to undo. 2) A lawless district court judge substitutes his or her policy preferences for the will of the People. This is not consistent with the Constitution," Vance wrote.
In reaction to his post, social media users, including journalists and commentators, stated that courts are responsible for ensuring due process.

"No, we are seeing the courts tell you what you are doing is illegal, like when you don’t give a person due process, when the constitution clearly says you must," Ed Krassensteinwrote in response to the vice president's post.
"Have you considered passing a law?" wrote user Andrew Fleischman.
"If you want to change the regulations, then follow the Administrative Procedures Act instead of issuing a Dear Colleague Letter. Didn't they teach admin law at Yale Law School?" said Scott Greenfield, a criminal defense lawyer.
Many users mockingly asked Vance if he actually went to Yale Law School.
"You went to Yale law? What a farce," said social media user "Art Candee."
Vance's Friday morning post aligned with the administration's strategy to contest or misrepresent court decisions as some of its steps face legal challenges. On Monday, President Donald Trump echoed these sentiments once again, criticizing the Supreme Court for obstructing his administration's attempts to deport migrants without due process, arguing that it would be financially unfeasible to provide trials for all those targeted for deportation.
“My team is fantastic, doing an incredible job, however, they are being stymied at every turn by even the U.S. Supreme Court, which I have such great respect for, but which seemingly doesn’t want me to send violent criminals and terrorists back to Venezuela, or any other Country, for that matter,” the president said in a Truth Social post.
