'New Yorkers drown out' Trump surrogates’ press conference: 'You’re shilling for a rapist!'

Republicans who showed up in New York to support Donald Trump Monday amid his hush money criminal trial attempted to express their belief that the case is an attack on the former president, but were quickly overshadowed by local New Yorkers.

Biden-Harris HQ X/Twitter account shared a video of several right-wing leaders speaking out against the trial, writing, "New Yorkers drown out Republicans’ press conference outside Trump’s criminal trial: 'No one cares what you want, bro.'"

US Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) claimed, "Joe Biden's the worst president in American history, and with God's grace, we're gonna make America great again!"

Another MAGA supporter said, "I am Vernon Jones, former county executive from Georgia, and a former state legislator. I want to make it clear: this is a sham trial."

One New Yorker shouted, "No one cares what you want, bro!"

Former chief of staff to the US secretary of defense Kash Patel said, "I am honored to be here in support of Donald J. Trump. He is being victimized. But we, as a country, are being victimized even more by the unconstitutional weaponization of justice, and the two-tier system of justice that is on full display."

In response to the video, conservative lawyer George Conway tweeted: "New Yorker: '𝙔𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙩!' Couldn’t have put it better myself."

Former federal prosecutor Shan Wu wrote: "The First Amendment hard at work!"
