'Shall we say turkey!' Critics laugh as Trump explodes at 'unflattering' Time cover photo

The Daily Beast reports President Donald Trump exploded in a late-night social media post about an unflattering photo of him on the cover of TIME magazine.

Trump called the TIME story — covering the tenuous peace he helped foster between Israeli and Palestinian leaders — the “the Worst of All Time”.

“They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Really weird! I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out. What are they doing, and why?”

In an attempt to depict Trump as a towering figure, the low-angle shot instead presented sunlight filing through the wispy remnants of Trump’s hair. The photo accommodated an article that even Trump acknowledged as a “relatively good story about me,” carrying the title “His Triumph.” But he “demanded to know why the magazine had run such a bad picture of his hair.

Daily Beast also reports that the angle accented his aging jowls and deflating skin.

“The living Israeli hostages held in Gaza have been freed under the first phase of Donald Trump’s peace plan, alongside a Palestinian prisoner release,” TIME posted on the social media X alongside the cover. “The deal may become a signature achievement of Trump’s second term, and it could mark a strategic turning point for the Middle East.”

Social media blasted the president for his shallow reaction amid such a politically weighty moment.

"He gets the cover of Time magazine but all he does is b----," posted one X user.

"I see the ear is still in perfect condition," said another.

Other social media users praised the photo in a fit of snark: "His neck …shall we say turkey!"

Kari Lake, a former Fox affiliate anchor who is the acting CEO of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, quickly piled on, accusing TIME of using “the most unflattering photos of President Trump at a moment when they should be honoring him.”

She then followed up with a counterfeit TIME cover with , and encouraged MAGA devotees to promote the counterfeit photo instead.

“Share this cover so that the world sees the strength of our great President Trump instead of the one the fake news Time magazine put out,” she wrote of the fake.
