During his 2024 presidential campaign, Donald Trump survived two separate assassination attempts. The first was on July 13, 2024 at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where his ear was grazed because of Thomas Matthew Crooks — the would-be assassin killed by U.S. Secret Service agents that day.

A few days later, at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Trump's supporters wore fake bandages over their ears as an expression of support.

That assassination attempt is depicted in a statuette, which, according to Daily Beast reporter Emell Derra Adolphus, has been "spotted" in the White House Oval Office.

"In Oval Office photos," Adolphus explains in an article published on May 10, "the small sculpture can be seen mounted on a table next to the president's Resolute Desk. It depicts the moment Trump raised his fist in the air and began chanting, 'fight, fight, fight' to rally attendees…. The sculpture also depicts an American flag and three Secret Service agents."

Adolphus notes that according to the Trump Statute Project’s website, artist Stan Watts "reportedly plans to create a 9-foot tall version of the moment in bronze."

"The image of Trump's raised fist has become a rallying cry for Trump's MAGA base, and Trump has leaned into its popularity with photos of the moment printed on MAGA memorabilia available on Trumpstore.com," Adolphus reports. "The statuette is the latest controversy over Trump’s Oval Office decor. His mugshot, taken August 24, 2023, after he was indicted on racketeering and related charges, was spotted hanging on a wall just before the entrance to the Oval Office."

Trump faced four criminal indictments during Joe Biden's presidency. The August 24, 2023 mugshot was taken in Atlanta in connection with Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis' sprawling election interference/RICO case against Trump and a long list of co-defendants.
