'Fake pollster': Trump rages against Fox News after poll shows low approval ratings

Trump voters need to confront the reality about Trump's economy
President Donald Trump strongly criticized Fox News on Thursday over a pollster for the network, whom he did not name, for allegedly being unfair to him and his Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.
A poll from Fox News released Wednesday showed that Trump's approval ratings are at a record low following the initial 100 days of his second term. While the president did not mention said poll in his statement, his remarks were an apparent reaction to the survey that showed overall approval of the president’s job performance was 44 percent — down 5 points from March.
“Rupert Murdoch has told me for years that he is going to get rid of his Fox News, Trump Hating, Fake Pollster, but he has never done so,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform. “This ‘pollster’ has gotten me, and MAGA, wrong for years.”

According to the Fox News poll, Trump's approval rating, which stood at 45 percent after the first 100 days in 2017, was lower than the ratings of Biden (54 percent), Obama (62 percent), and George W. Bush (63 percent).
In 2020, Fox News notably became the first major news organization to announce Arizona for Joe Biden, a decision that infuriated Trump and his supporters. At 94 years old, Murdoch is the chairman emeritus of Fox Corp., the parent company of Fox News, as well as News Corp, which owns Dow Jones & Co., the publisher of the Wall Street Journal.
