Christian nationalists celebrate Trump’s White House return with 'limited run Inauguration Day Bible'
08 January
On Monday, January 6, President-elect Donald Trump's Electoral College victory over Vice President Kamala Harris was certified during a joint session of Congress. Harris herself, with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) at her side, presided over the vote-counting and the certification of an election that she lost.
The January 6 ceremony paves the way for Trump's inauguration two weeks later on Monday, January 20. And the creators of the God Bless the USA Bible, a.k.a. The Trump Bible, marked the January 6 vote-counting and election certification with the release of a new edition called the "Inauguration Day Bible."
Religion News Service (RNS) reporter Bob Smietana explains, "Launched Monday, January 6, the limited-run 'Inauguration Day Bible' costs $69.99 — or four copies for $59.49 each — and features an embossed cover with Trump's name and the date of his upcoming inauguration. The Bible includes the King James translation along with the text of the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Pledge of Allegiance and the lyrics to the chorus of 'God Bless the USA,' the 1984 Lee Greenwood hit."

Smietana adds, "It also comes with a DVD of a concert honoring Greenwood's career."
According to Smietana, Trump's supporters are also offering a "The Day God Intervened edition" that is "embossed with the date of the failed assassination attempt in July."
Trump survived two assassination attempts during his 2024 campaign.
"Some of Trump's supporters have claimed God spared Trump's life," Smietana notes. "The website also offers a signed Trump Bible for $1000, Trump-related apparel and links to Trump-themed guitars and God Bless the USA coins."
