'Crowd goes silent' as Trump again confuses Biden and Obama at Virginia rally
03 March 2024
Donald Trump on Saturday once again appeared to confuse President Joe Biden and Former President Barack Obama at his rally.
Trump, who has regularly claimed that his mishaps with their names are because he is intentionally saying Obama is pulling the strings of Biden's presidency, was telling a story about Russia and other foreign parties when he made a slip that was apparently not intentional.
Trump was talking about how he dealt with terrorists when he was the president, before he mentioned what he called a "rigged" 2020 election.
"We had this fool take over!" Trump shouted, further claiming without details that he will end the Russia-Ukraine war if he is elected.
"Get that war settled, that's a bad war," he said.
That's when he makes the apparent slip-up.
"And Putin has such little respect for Obama that he's starting to throw around the 'nuclear' word. You heard that, nuclear. He's starting to talk nuclear weapons today," Trump said Saturday. "I was waiting for that to happen. But we have a fool as a president."
@Acyn, who posted the video on social media, noted that the "crowd goes silent" after Trump makes the mistake involving the presidents' names.
