GOP congressman horrifies viewers with his reaction to Kabul airport attack: 'Start killing bad guys'

On Thursday morning — with the Taliban in control of Afghanistan and the Biden Administration was scrambling to get U.S. citizens and allies out of the country — a deadly terrorist attack occurred at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. Far-right Rep. Mark Green of Tennessee weighed in on the attack during an appearance on Fox News, and he is being mocked for his simplistic recommendation.
Politico has reported that according to U.S. officials it interviewed, one of the people responsible for the attack was "an ISIS militant wearing a suicide vest." ISIS stands for "Islamic State in Iraq and Syria," and that far-right terrorist group is a sworn enemy of the Taliban.
On Fox News, Green was asked, "What do you think the U.S. response to this immediately should be?"—to which the GOP congressman responded, "I think the president of the United States should come out and say all bets are off. The Taliban had absolutely defied this agreement by not securing — they didn't keep their promise to the secure the access routes to the airfield…. I'd start killing bad guys."
After Vox's Aaron Rupar tweeted that interview, it didn't take long for Green to be mocked for trying to sound like Chuck Norris or another action film star:
