Former Trump aid claims Melania is quietly rooting for Harris — here's why

Although financier Anthony Scaramucci briefly served as White House communications director in the Trump Administration in 2017, he is decidedly anti-Donald Trump these days and is supporting Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race.
Another conservative who is rooting for Harris, according to Scaramucci, is former First Lady Melania Trump.
During a late August appearance on the "MeidasTouch" podcast, Scaramucci said that the former president's wife has no desire to be first lady again and is "tired of all this nonsense."

Scaramucci, now 60, argued, "Nobody wants (Kamala Harris) to win more than me — maybe Melania Trump, that could be the only person I can think of…. I judge hatred of Donald Trump by the Melania standard."
Daily Beast reporters Lily Mae Lazarus and Matt Young explain, "Scaramucci’s hyperbolic claims come nearly two months after Melania Trump was last seen with her husband, having made a one-night-only cameo at the Republican National Convention in July…. 'The Mooch,' who has since left the GOP and supported President Biden's campaign in 2020, has become a vocal critic of his former boss."
Scaramucci has also criticized Donald Trump on CNN recently, saying that his "contradictory" comments on abortion show that "he's in trouble" politically.
Scaramucci told CNN's Alex Marquardt, "He's done a very good job of the last nine years of saying two contradictory things at the exact same time and giving enough food for everybody at the table."
