How Jeffrey Epstein 'tried unsuccessfully' to blackmail Bill Gates over an affair: report
The initial round of unsealed documents including the names of over 150 people linked to investor and accused sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison by suicide in 2019, were revealed Wednesday, NBC News reports.
The unsealed documents, according to CNN, "are filings from a settled case brought by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, an American woman who claimed Epstein sexually abused her as a minor and that Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former girlfriend, aided in the abuse."
On December 18, "U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska last month ordered the materials to be released after Jan. 1," NBC notes. "However, the judge delayed whether to release documents associated with those who have objected to the disclosure of their names until a later date, the spokesman said."
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to hold office again?
According to CNN, "The documents are expected to include nearly 200 names, including some of Epstein’s accusers, prominent businesspeople, politicians and potentially more."
