Read the letter the attorney general sent to Congress confirming the end of Mueller's probe

On Friday, special counsel Robert Mueller concluded his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, submitting a report to Attorney General William Barr.

Shortly after, Barr submitted a letter to the principle members of the leaders of the Judiciary Committees: House Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) and ranking member Doug Collins (R-GA), and Senate Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and ranking member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).

The letter informs Congress that the investigation has concluded, and that Barr intends to deliver Mueller's principal findings to the committees "as soon as this weekend." It also discloses, in accordance with federal regulations, that Mueller was not, at any point, overruled by Barr or by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in the course of his investigation.
