'This is sick': AG Bondi brutally mocked for Trump adulation that would make 'North Korea blush'

Critics of the MAGA movement often accuse President Donald Trump's supporters of engaging in cult-like behavior, noting the types of extremes they go to — from wanting to carve a reproduction of Trump's face onto Mount Rushmore to proposing Trump-themed $100 bills. Some MAGA Republicans favor changed the name of Dulles International Airport to Donald Trump International Airport.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi is drawing plenty of mockery on X, former Twitter, for her over-the-top praise of Trump during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, April 30.

Sitting next to Vice President JD Vance, Bondi told Trump, "Mr. President, your first 100 days has far exceeded that of any other presidency in this country. Ever. Ever. I've never seen anything like it. Thank you."

During the meeting, Bondi also bragged out seeking the death penalty in federal cases, saying, "We've rescinded the death penalty. We are now seeking the death penalty on cases. I'm signing death warrants."

On X, Daily Kos reporter Emily C. Singer said of Bondi's praise of Trump, "This is sick." And she isn't the only X user who is weighing in.

The Democratic group Blue Georgia posted a photo of communist officials meeting in North Korea and remarked, "Same vibe."

The conservative group Republicans Against Trump tweeted, "Even North Korea would blush at this kind of flattery."

X user Laurence Boorstein observed, "The Cabinet falls all over themselves to extol the virtues of His Majesty Donald I. If the praise were anyone else, it would (be) seen as parody or hyperbole to make fun of the King. 'Your first 100 days has far exceeded that of ANY other presidency in this country. Ever. Ever.'"

Another X user, Paul Marr, tweeted, "Flattery is putting it mildly - I would say it is full blown sycophancy!"

Conservative X user D-Fens wrote, "There's another historical figure that surrounded himself with yes men and god worship, but I just can't put my finger on him." And D-Fens made that point by posting an old black-and-white photo showing Adolf Hitler meeting with Nazi officials.

Retired law professor Peter Arenella, who taught at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), tweeted, "Trump's cabinet officers and staff know how to stick their tongues where 'the sun don't shine' In my 77 years around the sun, I have never witnessed the constant undeserved praise; I guess these suck ups are blind to the fact that Trump is the worst POTUS in our history."
