Damning supercut exposes Haley’s paradoxical endorsement of 'unstable' and 'unfit' Trump
23 May 2024
After dropping out of the 2024 presidential race earlier this year, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley stayed silent about the election for months. But on Wednesday, May 22, the ex-U.S. ambassador to the United Nations finally endorsed presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Haley stated that although she still has disagreements with Trump, she considers President Joe Biden a "catastrophe" from a policy standpoint.
Haley's critics — a combination of Democrats, independents and Never Trump conservatives — have been attacking her Trump endorsement as a flip-flop, noting how biting her criticism of Trump became during the final weeks of her presidential campaign. Larry Sabato, director of the UVA Center for Politics, tweeted, "OF COURSE Nikki Haley is voting for Trump. There are very few prominent Republicans with the courage of Liz Cheney."

Thursday morning, May 23 on MSNBC's "Way Too Early," host Jonathan Lemire aired a supercut video showing how dramatically Haley's Trump endorsement contrasts with what she had to say about him earlier this year.
Lemire showed a May 22 clip of the endorsement followed by a montage of anti-Trump remarks from Haley. In the supercut, Haley can be seen using words like "unhinged" and "unstable" to describe Trump.
One of the clips shows Haley, during a campaign speech in February, saying of Trump, "If you mock the service of a combat veteran, you don't deserve a driver's license, let alone being president of the United States."
