MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace issues scathing MAGA rebuke: 'I think God will forgive you'
21 October 2024
MSNBC's Deadline: White House host Nicole Wallace on Monday did not mince words in a scathing rebuke of Donald Trump's statement over the weekend about Arnold Palmer's genitalia.
"This is a guy that was all man," Trump told MAGA supporters at a Saturday, October 19 Pennsylvania rally. "This man was strong and tough, and I refuse to say it, but when he took showers with the other pros, they came out of there, they said, 'Oh my God, that's unbelievable.'"
Wallace played a clip of House Speaker Mike Johnson's (R-LA) Sunday, October 20 interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, in which the Republican lawmaker refused to condemn the former president's comment.

Tapper asked Johnson, "Is this really the closing message you want voters to hear from Donald Trump? Stories about Arnold Palmer's penis?"
Instead of answering the question, the GOP leader replied by claiming that Vice President Kamala Harris refuses to answer the question of whether or not voters are better off now than they were four years ago. The speaker also claimed that President Joe Biden "couldn't fill the room" if he were still rallying as the Democratic nominee, but "Trump does."
Wallace commented, "I didn't realize Mike Johnson also can't get over that Joe Biden, for the good of the party, and the good of our democracy, is off the ticket. Clearly, he's in that category. But that the reason it's important even to the Trump voter is because he is waving a red flag in front of the country in these final 16 days, saying 'Look how bat s—t crazy I can be.'"
Wallace then pointed to MSNBC's Vaughn Hilliard's reporting that the MAGA leader "can make 30 of 50 Trump voters believe he won a state he lost by 5 million votes."

She continued, "If you've already voted for Trump, I think God will forgive you. But if you haven't made that mistake yet, he's making a fool of you. He's making a fool of you, and he thinks you want to hear him 'weave,' as he says and talk about Arnold Palmer's penis as a metaphor for his virility. I was in a sorority, and the only men who talk about the size of any man's penis are the ones projecting insecurity about their own. So here we are, 16 days to go, and this is Donald Trump's message to his base."
