Cassidy Hutchinson and her 'brave' decision to abandon Trumpworld

Cassidy Hutchinson's new book, "Enough," is due out this Tuesday, September 26. The Guardian has been reporting on revelations in the memoir, including an allegation that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani groped Hutchinson the day of the January 6 insurrection.

In an op-ed published on September 24, MSNBC's Katie Phang stresses that an important thing to remember about the book is that Hutchinson's "compelling, damning and explosive testimony" for the January 6 Select Committee in 2022 was made possible by the former aide to ex-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows' conscious decision to separate herself from former President Donald Trump's allies.

"Hutchinson's bravery in making a break from Trumpworld and telling the country what she had witnessed cannot be overstated," Phang argues. "Other women, including Atlanta election workers Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman, also came forward to speak publicly to the January 6 Committee about their traumatic experiences."

Phang continues, "Hutchinson found her voice. Without it, we might not have known the extent of the criming in the White House as Trump attempted to desperately hold on to power."
