Rep. Nancy Mace (R‑S.C.) shared a series of self‑recorded videos documenting her journey from South Carolina to Washington, D.C., following an alleged flight cancellation, as she traveled to participate in the Wednesday vote on President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill.”
In the clips posted to the social platform X, Mace is seen driving in her pajamas, making a stop at a Waffle House, and later purchasing Red Bull at a Wawa convenience store. One video compiles these moments, set to AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” playing in the background, with another playing "On the Road Again" by Willie Nelson.
She posted the footage on social media to offer a behind‑the‑scenes glimpse of her overnight trip, suggesting it required significant personal effort to reach the Capitol in time for the House session.

Her posts have been criticized on social media, including by right-wing accounts.
"Why is Nancy Mace wandering around DC, visiting Wawa and Waffle House, in her pajamas in the middle of the night? And why is she posting it? Is it time for an intervention?" wrote an account on X.
"Is this supposed to be a member of Congress or someone that thinks she is a social media personality? How pathetic and embarrassing. Our founding fathers would be ashamed," wrote a MAGA supporter's account.
Sara McGee, a Democrat running for Texas House of Representatives wrote: "Can someone please help me understand why my entire feed today is clips of Nancy Mace in her pajamas?"
