Watch: Melissa McCarthy Slays It Again as Sean Spicer on SNL
12 February 2017
Melissa McCarthy returned to "Saturday Night Live" this week to reprise her popular role as White House Press Secretary and gum-chewer supreme Sean Spicer.
Beginning the press conference parody by saying, "First of all, I'd just like to announce that I'm calm now," McCarthy goes on to rant at the press as "the old Spicey."
As journalists ask valid questions about the appeals court's decision shooting down Trump's Muslim travel ban and the meaning of "extreme vetting" for immigrants to America, McCarthy accuses them of stupidity and breaks down answers using "dollies" (Barbie, of course, represents someone who gets through TSA, and Moana not so much).
As for nonexistent terrorist attacks like the one the real Spicer said happened in Atlanta, McCarthy parades a list of fictional gems, including "the Bowling Green massacre (not the Kellyanne one, the real one)" and "the slaughter at Fraggle Rock."
McCarthy continues: "And then there was some light terrorism this week when Nordstrom's decided to stop selling Ivanka Trump's line of clothing and accessories." Let the QVC spot commence.
