'We’re coming for you': Lindsey Graham warns Iran not to 'escalate this war'

During Sunday's episode of NBC's Meet the Press, United States Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) threatened Iran by declaring if the country's officials "escalate" the Israel-Hamas war, the United States will retaliate.

Per Politico, the South Carolina GOP leader told Meet the Press host Kristen Welker, "If Hezbollah, which is a proxy of Iran, launches a massive attack on Israel, I would consider that a threat to the State of Israel, existential in nature."

Graham's comments come after ex-President Donald Trump called Hezbollah "very smart," for which the 2024 MAGA hopeful has received much criticism from both Democratic and Republican leaders.

"I will introduce a resolution in the United States Senate to allow military action by the United States in conjunction with Israel to knock Iran out of the oil business," Graham emphasized. "Iran, if you escalate this war, we're coming for you."

Politico notes, "Graham, a longtime foreign policy hawk, also called the idea that Iran was not involved in the Oct. 7 Hamas-led attack on Israel’s southern border 'laughable.' Iranian officials commended Hamas' operation, but initially denied involvement in the attack."
