In the aftermath of William Barr’s remarkable press conference, during which discussed special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report while repeatedly bolstering Donald Trump's talking points, legal experts panned the attorney general’s performance, describing Barr as “too far into the tank for the president of the United States."

Among those who criticized Barr's performance was Chuck Rosenberg, the former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Michael Bromwich, a former Department of Justice inspector general, likewise claimed Barr “has forfeited the benefit of the doubt many have given him.”
