When Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado) switched from Colorado's 3rd Congressional District to Colorado's 4th Congressional District, it was clearly a "Hail Mary" move.
Lauren was facing some daunting obstacles in the 3rd, including an aggressive GOP primary challenge from attorney Jeff Hurd and — if she got past Hurd — likely Democratic nominee Adam Frisch in the general election. Boebert narrowly defeated Frisch in 2022.
But according to The Hill's Jared Gans, Boebert is facing an uphill climb in her new district as well.

Colorado Politics conducted a straw poll on Thursday, January 25, and Boebert came in fifth among nine GOP primary candidates who are competing for the nomination in the 4th.
Gans explains, "She received 12 votes from debate attendees, about 10 percent of the total. Ahead of her were Logan County Commissioner Jerry Sonnenberg with 22 votes, former Colorado House Minority Leader Mike Lynch with 20 votes, Douglas County filmmaker Deborah Flora with 18 votes and state House Minority Whip Richard Holtorf with 17 votes, the outlet reported."
