Kim Jong Un’s 'evil sister' stepping up as he 'pigs out on expensive imported cheeses': report
11 June 2023
North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's younger sister Kim Yo Jong has been filling in for the thirty-nine-year-old dictator because he is ignoring medical advice and descending into self-destructive addictive behaviors, The Daily Beastreported on Saturday.
"Yo Jong, who's often spoken for her big brother in the past, has again taken up the mantle and is projecting the image of the most powerful member of the ruling dynasty while Jong Un pigs out on expensive imported cheeses, drinks night and day and chain-smokes foreign cigarettes, according to intelligence reports," The Daily Beast's Donald Kirk explained.
Kim has long had a great deal of confidence in Yo Jong's ability to serve as his proxy. Bruce Bennett of the Rand Corporation told The Daily Beast that "her brother has allowed her to play the 'really bad cop' to his 'tough cop'—no good cops around" and that Jong Un is "trying to gain her some credibility with his military in case he ever wants or needs to elevate her role—and is not in good health."

Kim's deteriorating condition is, apparently, self-evident from his appearance.
"South Korea's pervasive National Intelligence Service, with an assist from artificial intelligence, says he's packing 140 kilograms, about 310 pounds, on his five-foot-seven-inch frame," Kirk noted. "That's up about 50 pounds from the weight to which he had descended while on the diet more than two years ago."
Kirk also gleaned from the NIS that Kim is "suffering from significant sleep disorders" and that the agency is "closely watching the possibility of Kim falling into a vicious circle of depending more on alcohol and nicotine and suffering worsening insomnia."
Kirk further pointed out that despite the country's rampant poverty and human rights atrocities, "The North has been importing large quantities of foreign cigarettes and high-quality snacks."
