MAGA demands Paxton 'fire yourself' for hailing job gains among women

In a post on X, far-right Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton — who is in a competitive U.S. Senate race against centrist Democratic nominee James Talarico — praised President Donald Trump for job gains among women. And Paxton is getting an angry response from far-right X users.

Paxton tweeted, "Thanks to President Trump's leadership, American women are leading the way in our economic comeback. This is what happens when we put hardworking Americans first."

Grace Panetta of The 19th News tweeted, "The online right is currently very upset at Ken Paxton for a post celebrating women accounting for nearly all of the job growth since Trump took office #TXSen."

Tech engineer Ben Podraza was among the X users who had an angry reaction to Paxton's post.

Podraza wrote, "I don't think I am voting for you anymore. I am not voting for people who celebrate blatant discrimination against me."

X user Keegan Brown posted, "Yeah you just lost my vote for this. I hate Democrats more, but I just can't get behind voting for someone who spits in the face of us young white men desperately trying to find a future in a country that openly hates us."

Another X user, Joel Webbon, told Paxton, "Lost my vote."

Republican Peter Delecto wrote, "... The people we got fired with DOGE didn't just disappear, it's was a majority female who flooded the market and are now finding new jobs in local government or restaurant work."

The Blaze's Auron Macintyre told Paxton, "Delete this and fire whoever wrote it[.] If it was you fire yourself."

MAGA supporter Pierce Smith tweeted, "The most longhouse ... work environment I ever had the misfortune to exist in was the General Litigation Division under AG Paxton in 2022-23. Inmates running the asylum on pure estrogen. The most disappointing and demoralizing experience of my life."

Paxton, who President Donald Trump endorsed over incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in Texas' GOP U.S. Senate primary, is getting a very aggressive challenge from Talarico, a Presbyterian seminarian.

A TPPF poll released in late August found Paxton and Talarico in a dead heat, while a Texas Public Opinion Research (TPOR) poll showed Talarico with a 6 percent lead. An Emerson college poll, however, found Paxton leading Talarico by 1 percent.
