'The irony': Leavitt mocked for saying hatred has no place under Trump administration

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt condemned Thursday the killing of two officials of the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C., saying, "hatred has no place in the United States of America under President Donald Trump."

"The evil of antisemitism must be eradicated from our society," Leavitt added.

Earlier, Trump also denounced the Washington shooting that claimed the lives of two young Israeli Embassy staffers outside the Capital Jewish Museum on Wednesday night.

“These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW!” the president wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform Thursday morning.

Reacting to Leavitt's remarks, podcaster Gabe Sanchez wrote on the social platform X: "Unless it’s Donald Trump expressing that hatred…"

"Unless you’re a Transgender Woman," wrote a user reacting to the press secretary's comments.

Writer Peter Twinklage reacted to her claim with a screenshot of Trump's Truth Social post from last year where he had said, "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!"

"Trump has insulted anyone who won’t kowtow to him repeatedly in public, on social media, and in private. He has repeatedly threatened people who won’t just bow down to him. Not once. Multiple times. Multiple examples.." wrote another user.
