The transition from the Biden Administration to the Trump Administration has brought an assortment of new public relations officials to the White House.
Karoline Leavitt, as White House press secretary, gave her first briefing on Tuesday, January 28. And Vice President JD Vance has his own media team, which now includes Tucker Carlson's son.
According to Cleveland.com reporter Sabrina Eaton, a Vance aide "confirmed" that Buckley Carlson — son of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson — is now the vice president's deputy press secretary.

In his new position, Eaton reports, Buckley Carlson will assist Vance's press secretary, Taylor Van Kirk.
"Salary records compiled by LegiStorm show that Buckley Carlson previously worked as an aide to former U.S. Rep. Jim Banks, an Indiana Republican, from 2019 through 2024," Eaton notes. "He started out as a special assistant, and subsequently became communications director and deputy chief of staff for Banks, who was elected to the U.S. Senate last year."
According to Eaton, Vance's media team will also include Communications Director Will Martin and Deputy Communications Director Luke Schroeder — both of whom worked for Vance when he was in the U.S. Senate.
Before being fired, Tucker Carlson was the top host at Fox News — where he hosted "Tucker Carlson Tonight" from 2016-2023.
