Hunter Dad Boasts 8-Year-Old Daughter Bit into 'Warm, Quivering' Deer Heart
24 August 2016
A hunter boasted on social media about his daughter’s first kill—a young deer—and the fact that she took a bite out of the dead animal's “warm, quivering heart.”
The post, submitted to the group NZ Woman Hunters, was accompanied by photos, including a closeup of the 8-year-old tearing into the deer's bloody flesh. It was accompanied by another picture of the proud dad and his young apprentice posing over the deer's corpse, as well as the gun used to make the fatal shot.

According to the outlet NZ stuff, beaming father Johnny Yuile is also a New Zealand police officer. He told the local outlet that though this is the first time his daughter had successfully shot a deer, she has been accompanying him on hunting trips since she was a baby.
“She's been coming out with me since she was eight months old with a front pack,” Yuile stated.
The 8-year-old said she enjoyed the outing. She added that she was inspired to sample the bloody deer heart after watching her uncle partake.
"I saw my uncle bite the heart so I thought I might bite it too,” she told the NZ Stuff. "It tasted quite nice."
Buzzfeed and Elite Daily have rounded up some of the thousands of horrified reactions to the post on social media. Buzzfeed also notes that the NZ Woman Hunters Facebook group seems to have been shut down. They reached out to the company to inquire about the closure, but have not yet received a response.
